We’re the New Terminal One (NTO) at John F. Kennedy International Airport, a bold and exciting project to develop a world class, international terminal that can serve as a global gateway to the New York metropolitan area and the greater United States. The $9 billion first phase is the largest single asset project financing in US history.


It will be built on sites now occupied by Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and the former Terminal 3, where it will anchor JFK’s south side. Construction will take place in phases, with the first phase, including the new arrivals and departures hall and first set of new gates, expected to open in 2026.


NTO will set a new standard for design and service and aspires to obtain a global Top 5 Skytrax rating as one of the finest ten airport terminals in the world.

Who You Are:
We are seeking an experienced IT Vendor Relationship Manager to support mission critical applications. This role involves overseeing multiple vendor contracts, ensuring strict adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), and coordinating with cross functional IT teams. The IT Vendor Relationship Manager will work closely with the Director of IT Operations, the IT Operations Manager, Procurement, Finance, and Legal teams.


What We Are Looking For:
As the primary contact for all business partner relationships, the IT Vendor Relationship Manager must coordinate quarterly business reviews and work hand in hand with cross functional IT teams on performance management. The ideal candidate will also manage IT vendor budgets and lead contract negotiations.

 

What You Will Do:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and manage multiple vendor contracts
  • Monitor and document strict adherence to SLAs
  • Coordinate with cross functional IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of mission critical applications
  • Manage IT vendor budgets and participate in contract negotiations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure high quality service delivery
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of vendor services
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Prepare and present reports on vendor performance and contract status to senior management
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new vendors
  • Collaborate with vendors on innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Define necessary SLAs based on company needs and industry standards

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT vendor management or a related role
  • Proven experience in managing vendor contracts and budgets
  • Strong understanding of SLAs and performance metrics
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
  • Certifications such as Certified Vendor Management Professional (CVMP) or ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience with mission critical applications in a large enterprise environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Working knowledge and experience with Airport Terminal systems
  •  Familiarity with procurement processes and policies
  •  Knowledge of contract law and compliance requirements
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in vendor management software and tools
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Project management and data analysis capabilities.


Where You Will Work:
We are located in Building 111 in Jamacia Queens. As NTO progresses towards its operational phase, your role will transition to the vibrant and dynamic environment of JFK International Airport, where you will be directly involved in the day-to-day activities of this state-of-the-art international terminal.


This role requires a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge and/or a Secure Worker Access Consortium (SWAC) which will be obtained and maintained throughout employment. Successful candidates will be subject to a background check and other security clearance procedures. Candidates who cannot obtain and maintain this credential will not be considered for employment
