The Stroke Program Manager is responsible for the daily oversight and management of the Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) across the care continuum along with the Stroke Medical Director. This includes stroke program certification, patient, and staff education, as well as oversight of interdisciplinary/interprofessional collaboration for optimal patient care and safety. The Stroke Program Manager is a recognized expert in their field. Adheres to all best practice processes and guidelines as noted by national literature and ensures implementation within the center, the hospital, and the region. The Stroke Program Manager works collaboratively with all levels within the organization, across the HMH system, and with community partners. They work under the direct supervision and direction of the Stroke Medical Director and indirect reporting to the Director of Network Neuroscience Quality.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Master's Degree in Nursing.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical hospital experience, preferably in neurology, intensive care, or emergency care.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
- National neuro certification within one year of hire (SCRN, CNRN, NVRN)
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
- Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
