The Residency Coordinator coordinates the Family Medicine Residency Program and provides administrative and secretarial support to the Program Director, Practice Manager, and other faculty. The coordinator is an active member of a patient-centered team approach to patient and family care. The coordinator works collaboratively with all team members to achieve shared goals and consistently focus on quality care.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Education, and Skills Required:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Secretarial courses are preferred.
- Two to three years of secretarial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, and two to three years of administrative assistant experience are preferred.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated skill/proficiency in the utilization of software applications.
- Types 50/70 words/min.
- Medical Terminology preferred.
- Demonstrates ability to operate independently using effective time management; goal-setting.
Knowledge, Education, and Skills Preferred:
- An associate, bachelors, or equivalent of two years of experience in health care positions is preferred.
