Entry-Level CNC Programmer
Overview:
JGM is looking for a motivated Entry-Level CNC Programmer to join our team and gain hands-on experience in steel fabrication. You'll assist in developing and optimizing CNC programs to improve machine efficiency and precision. This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and grow in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating, revising, and troubleshooting CNC programs for fabrication machines (laser/plasma cutters, press brakes, routers).
- Work with engineers to interpret designs and translate them into CNC programs.
- Help test and adjust programs to ensure accuracy and optimal performance.
- Maintain organized records of programs and setup instructions.
- Collaborate on solving programming-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Learn CNC programming and steel fabrication processes from experienced team members.
- Follow all safety protocols in the fabrication shop.
Qualifications:
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Interest in CNC programming, machining, and manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software or programming languages (a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Eager to learn, adapt, and work well in a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Open to entry-level candidates and recent graduates.
