As a Virtual Design & Construction Engineer you'll support construction projects through 3D modeling, coordination, prefabrication, self-performed work, and reality capture tools. This role involves managing VDC tasks independently, applying construction technology expertise, and supporting project teams with visualization and preconstruction quantification.
Key Responsibilities
- Create "Lift Drawings" for concrete, masonry, prefabrication, and blocking.
- Utilize Revit, Navisworks, Sketch-Up, AutoCAD, Assemble Systems, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Pix4D.
- Review and provide feedback on 3D models for accuracy and constructability.
- Capture and process drone imagery using Pix4D Matic and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Conduct thermal imaging via drones and communicate findings.
- Track, present, and share BIM information with external stakeholders, positioning Findorff as an industry leader.
- Ensure compliance with drone regulations and standards across job sites.
- Utilize laser scanning and other Reality Capture tools for project analysis.
- Support MEP Coordination using Navisworks and ACC tools.
- Assist with marketing efforts, including virtual mock-ups, animations, and training materials.
