Due to a recent promotion, JH Larson / Pahl’s Showroom is hiring a Showroom Manager to join our Hudson team! This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the showroom, creating an environment that promotes customer satisfaction, drives sales, and enhances the overall brand experience. This role combines leadership, sales expertise, and operational oversight to deliver exceptional service and meet business goals. The Showroom Manager acts as a bridge between the company’s products and customers, ensuring that every aspect of the showroom — from product displays to customer interactions — aligns with the company’s vision and brand values. Ultimately, the purpose is to maximize showroom performance, improve customer loyalty, and support the growth and success of the business.
J.H. Larson is a family-owned, independent distributor of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and Datacom products with 8 locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and South Dakota. There are 4 Pahl’s Showroom locations in Wisconsin and Sout Dakota. We remain dedicated to our employees, customers, and vendors and we are celebrating our 94th anniversary this year!

Responsibilities Include:
- Home Show and Other Onsite Event Planning and Attendance
- Display Price and Inventory Management
- Organize Ongoing Vendor Trainings to keep staff informed on product updates
- Sales and Customer Service when working with walk in and appointment customers
- Customer Relationship Management including building and maintaining relationships as well as resolving customer concerns
- Showroom Team Management including hiring, training, coaching, motivating, and giving feedback on performance
- Inventory and Stock Control of merchandise and displays
- Financial Management of the Showroom
- Visual Merchandising to ensure the Showroom maintains an aesthetically pleasing and welcoming atmosphere
- Reporting and Analytics of the showroom, used to improve sales strategies, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Marketing and Promotions including planning and executing events and sales campaigns, often collaborating with the Marketing Department
- Health and Safety Compliance to maintain a safe and secure environment for both customers and staff
Qualifications
Education
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, retail management, or a related field preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in retail/direct and/or showroom experience
- Solid leadership skills with a desire to listen, train, inspire others, motivate, guide, and manage a team, ensuring high performance and effective collaboration
- A strong sales presence. Passion for delivering great customer experience and maintaining positive relationships
- Ability to conduct job site visits and other occasional travel (10%)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and collaborate within a multifunctional team
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Detail oriented, consistent, and tenacious
- Solid computer and math skills
- Knowledge of showroom merchandising and visual display techniques is preferred
- Understand the basics of design and interior decorating preferred
- Self-motivated and a self-starter
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid US Driver’s license and reliable transportation
