You'll help to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, participate in design and implementation of best practices for our applications and AWS infrastructure, and build or integrate tools to provide awareness of security-related events and controls.About the TeamThe Security team works with infrastructure and feature engineering teams to identify and mitigate risks to the business. We propose, design, plan and implement strategic and tactical security improvements — from remote access systems for employees, to authorization rules on our production fleet, to forward-thinking policy initiatives. Our infrastructure and feature engineering teams will be active and supportive partners, but the Security Team organizes and leads these efforts across the entire organization. We are trusted to stay one step ahead of malicious actors in a rapidly-changing threat landscape.In this role, you’llBuild security tooling and automation to integrate security earlier in the software development lifecycle, ensuring both preventative and detective measures are in place to manage threatsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align security controls with industry-standard compliance requirements (e.g. ISO, NIST, SOC2)Provide security expertise across our entire tech stack in the form of design reviews and threat modelingRespond to security events, including isolating, mitigating, and investigating active threatsEstablish and promote security recommendations and best practices, as well as perform research and provide security insight.What you’ll needBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (such as other Engineering disciplines)2 years of experience in security engineering or DevSecOps, with a focus on AWS and infrastructure securityProficient in building tools and automation in Python, including testing, documentation, and deploymentExperience with deploying in Kubernetes (EKS preferred); experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsYour own unique talents!
