Location: Chester, Bucks, Philadelphia County Areas, and Southeastern, PA

Salary/ Compensation: 66% transaction cost(s) split for successful deliveries (100% of tips)

Misc.: Full reimbursement for toll fees paid (will later be included in an algorithmic calculation)

           Jiffy Technologies or “JIFFY” is a same-day expedited gig start-up based in Chester County, PA that specializes in providing customers with expedited shipping solutions for general household goods. We provide an exceptional service by utilizing independent contractors tasked with shipping and delivering said goods. Additionally, we pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and efforts to build authentic relationships with our customers and employees.

Furthermore, JIFFY specializes in both pickups and deliveries. Deliveries and pickups are limited to household goods which consist of electronics, paper mail, kitchenware, food/ baked goods, clothing, and other similar items.

Pickups are limited to prepaid orders that do not require additional proof of identification. Pickup orders will be verified before drivers are paired with the deliveries.

Job Description

           As a driver for JIFFY, you are tasked with handling and transporting goods that customers request for you to deliver. You are considered an independent contractor which means that you are considered an on-call, part-time employee.

Additionally, you are permitted to take on as many deliveries as you can handle as long as it’s within a timeframe of no more than 12 hours per day. Your task in any given situation will begin with accepting incoming deliveries (JIFFY will provide them) and after an order is accepted, the order details will be provided via email, text, or call.

After item dimensions, total cost, pickup/ drop-off destination(s), and pay are determined, the driver will commute to the customer’s location. When the driver arrives, he/she will verify the order, receive the item into the vehicle, and commute to the item’s requested destination for drop-off. When the item’s delivery is confirmed, payment will be dispersed.

Required Qualifications

-      High School Diploma or Equivalent

-      Own/ possess a 2-4-door vehicle (car, truck, and/ or van) with a valid vehicle registration

- The vehicle MUST be clean and in generally acceptable condition

-      US Driver’s license and SSN (for background check(s))

-      Minimum of 18 years of age

-      Capacity to physically lift, load, and/ or unload an excess of 65lbs (per item) with/ without accommodation

-      Proficient road navigation skills (w/ use of virtual navigation)

-      US bank account

-      Completed and returned W9 (upon acceptance)

-      An ability to communicate articulately (slang and other unprofessional language will not be tolerated)

-      An ability to dress/ present yourself respectably, with high character, and with a welcoming demeanor

-      An ability to adhere to traffic rules and regulations

-      Commitment to highly efficient and reliable customer service 

-      An ability to arrive on time to various locations within an established timeframe (within 4 hours)

-      Clean driving record (verifiable via background check)

-      An ability to respond quickly to unexpected situations (bad weather, cancellations, etc.)

-      Ability to maintain consistent communication with the firm/ driver

-      Highly fluent in English
