PRINCIPAL SUPPLY CHAIN PROGRAM MANAGER

My client is seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager to join their ISR Space team, focusing on capturing and executing responsive space programs. You'll work closely with customers, lead supplier teams, and drive innovative solutions in technology and mission development.

Key Performance Objectives:
- Lead Space and Airborne Systems supply chain management to align with engineering, program management, and operations strategies for optimized performance and cost efficiency.
- Identify and address pain points using cross-functional approaches to drive improvements and enhance processes.
- Track and coordinate program deliverables, mitigate risks, and provide regular status updates on program performance.
- Analyse supplier capacity and capability to manage critical milestones and ensure material flow for production and inventory optimization.
- Support DFx (Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Test) by reviewing engineering changes and assessing material/supply chain impact.
- Engage in continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in product development and supply chain operations.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance to meet program and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with diverse teams, including engineering, supply chain, and external suppliers, to achieve program goals.
- Develop and track customized supply chain metrics specific to space programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships, becoming a trusted partner and thought leader.
- Understand customer mission needs and communicate the company's technical and programmatic value propositions.
- Drive long-term business strategy and ensure alignment with high ethical standards and the company's Code of Conduct.
Education/Work Experience Requirements:
- Security Clearance: Secret clearance preferred but not required.
- Contract Experience: Familiarity with contract types, including FFP, FPIF, T&M, Labor Hour, and Cost Reimbursement (with fixed-fee, incentive fee, or award fee).
- Subcontract Management: Experienced as a Cost Account Manager for Subcontracts, managing budgets and sales forecasting.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Travel: Ability to periodically travel to supplier facilities, primarily domestic locations.
- Mastery-level expertise in a specific technical area or multiple job areas.
- Recognized as an expert and resource within the field by peers both inside and outside the organization.
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, a Graduate Degree with at least 10 years of related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience is required.
Additional Information:
