Position Overview
We are seeking a Local Program Manager (LPM) to lead our Weekend Adventures in the Nashville area. This role serves as the local representative, advancing the mission of Jill’s House by creating unforgettable camp experiences for children with intellectual disabilities. From ziplining to talent shows and s’mores by the fire, campers enjoy a weekend filled with fun while their families get time for rest and renewal.
Jill’s House Rocky Top partners with Horton Haven in Chapel Hill, TN, offering weekend camps year-round. As one of five national locations (including Washington, Virginia, New Jersey, Illinois / Wisconsin), this role will build on an existing framework while adding local expertise to strengthen and expand the program.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management :
- Recruit, onboard, schedule, and train staff and volunteers.
- Serve as the primary liaison for families, staff, partner camps, community organizations,
- and volunteers.
- Guide families through the admissions process, including paperwork, phone calls,
- orientation, and ongoing communication.
- Oversee case management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date camper documentation (e.g., Individualized Service Plans, Behavior Plans, medical records).
- Manage the program’s budget effectively.
- Build partnerships with local churches, non-profits, and service providers to advance
- Jill’s House’s mission.
- Provide family support through care packages, parent dinners, and resource sharing.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager, Director of National Programs, and other Jill’s House departments to ensure smooth operations.
