Job Description
This position is responsible for the safe operation of forklift equipment, accurate and efficient inventory management, and timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintaining valid forklift operator's license and adhering to safety protocols.
- Inspecting trailers prior to loading/unloading.
- Verifying unit of measure counts (pallets, cases, etc.).
- Using dock plates/dock doors properly.
- Operating sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and high-reach forklifts depending on location within the warehouse.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse or contract packaging environment, with forklift operation skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance if needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Must be able to read, interpret, and comply with written information and documents.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and related technology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid forklift license/certification or training preferred.
- Able to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and across all shifts based on business demands.
