BDC Representatives will assist the Sales Team with all Internet and Phone inquiries, generated through any and all advertising or promotions of The Jim Click and Holmes Tuttle Automotive Team. The following is a brief overview of the job duties of the BDC Customer Service Representative.
Essential Job Functions
- Communicate effectively with each customer in order to determine customer intent resulting in setting appointments for the Sales Team(s).
- Assist the sales team with internet related inquiries, inbound phone calls, outbound phone calls, online chat, and setting appointments.
- Utilize the company’s Contact Management system for all customer information and email correspondence.
- Follow up with customers, sales staff, and managers for all customer related inquiries.
- Maintain a minimum of monthly set appointments for sales related inquiries.
- Use required standardized phone scripts approved by Department Manager
- Stays up-to-date on all related advertising media (including print, radio, television, direct mail, and internet) for all Jim Click and Holmes Dealerships.
- Attend all training seminars that the Department manager determines appropriate.
- Perform additional duties requested by Department Manager.
- Experience preferred in the areas of telephone customer service and computer-based software applications including MS Excel and MS Word. The ability to manage multiple online activities to complete tasks is essential to this position.
- Basic English comprehension and math skills sufficient to read all technical related documents, Material Safety Data Sheet, insurance, and manufacturer’s information.
- Must be able to handle inbound sales inquiries and set appointments.
- Must be able to make a pre-determined number of outbound calls daily.
- Varied shifts and Saturdays are required.
- Consistent and timely attendance daily, or as scheduled.
- Communicate clearly by telephone/chat while simultaneously and accurately recording information being given during the conversation.
- Communicate via telephone/chat in a professional demeanor demonstrated by a friendly, clear and easily understandable voice.
- Use telephone equipment continuously for up to 8 hours per day.
- Capable of determining which customer situations to refer to amanager.
- Experience with dealership in-house computer system and factory communication system a plus but not required.
- Take directions on future assignments/tasks and follows through in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work with more than one person and/or task simultaneously, maintaining a cordial and friendly manner at all times without internalizing frustration, anger or pressure.
- Ability to maintain good employee relations by acting courteously and amicably towards other co-workers.
- Pass observed and SAMHSA certified drug screen.
- Present documents to certify eligibility to work.
- Have work history verified as accurate.
