Job Summary
The Business Systems Administrator position at Jim Myers & Sons, Inc. (JMS) is a vital member of the Admin Team and is a diverse high-paced position with the following primary responsibilities.
Responsibilities include
- Managing users, licensing, configurations, and workflows for ERP, CAD, and related business systems
- Supporting IT Managed Services Provider resolving issues pertaining to CAD, ERP, and related business systems
- Performing software installation and upgrades, including planning and scheduling, testing and coordination
- Working with outside vendors to resolve system issues and new system implementations
- Investigating, diagnosing, and remedying software issues and outages
- Supporting team members with system advancements to streamline and improve business processes
- Creating policies and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to promote efficiency, productivity, and minimal rework
- Plan and lead projects related to business systems
- Recommend new technology and present to team members
- Train staff on software usage and best practices including development of training materials
- Follow all company policies and procedures along with corporate directives
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience with PDM or equivalent document management software
- 3 years of experience with 2D design and detailing with AutoCAD a plus
- 3 years of experience with ERP/MRP software
Desired Experience and Skills
- Knowledge of fabrication processes such as bending, punching, welding, machining, etc.
- Knowledge of Epicor ERP system usage and administration
- Knowledge of Solidworks/PDM administration
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
Education
- Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or other relevant field with equivalent combination of experience
