Jim’s Formal Wear is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Vice President of Finance, based at our Trenton, IL headquarters. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and execute the financial strategy of the world’s largest wholesaler of men’s formal wear. As a strategic leader, you will oversee all financial operations, provide insightful analysis, guide decision-making, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute a final strategy that supports sustained business growth.
• Lead financial initiatives across the organization, fostering cross-department collaboration.
• Align financial operations with corporate goals and profitability.
• Partner with executive leadership to shape future investment strategic initiatives.

• Oversee the preparation of financial models for risk assessment and scenario planning.

Risk Management and Compliance

• Identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting principles and internal controls.

• Build strong relationships with external partners, including auditors and financial institutions.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a high performing finance team, fostering growth and development.

• Set clear performance goals, provide regular feed and promote a collaborative team culture.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 8 years experience in progressively responsible finance roles, at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax and compliance, accounting principles, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable strategies.
• Results-oriented with a track record of driving financial performance and growth.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
• Adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

• Ability to work on-site at the Trenton, IL headquarters a minimum of 4 times per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification.

• Experience working with lower middle market private equity backed portfolio firms.
