Jim’s Formal Wear is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Vice President of Finance, based at our Trenton, IL headquarters. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and execute the financial strategy of the world’s largest wholesaler of men’s formal wear. As a strategic leader, you will oversee all financial operations, provide insightful analysis, guide decision-making, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a final strategy that supports sustained business growth.
- Lead financial initiatives across the organization, fostering cross-department collaboration.
- Align financial operations with corporate goals and profitability.
- Partner with executive leadership to shape future investment strategic initiatives.
Oversee the preparation of financial models for risk assessment and scenario planning.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting principles and internal controls.
Build strong relationships with external partners, including auditors and financial institutions.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a high performing finance team, fostering growth and development.
Set clear performance goals, provide regular feed and promote a collaborative team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 8 years experience in progressively responsible finance roles, at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax and compliance, accounting principles, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable strategies.
- Results-oriented with a track record of driving financial performance and growth.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Ability to work on-site at the Trenton, IL headquarters a minimum of 4 times per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification.
Experience working with lower middle market private equity backed portfolio firms.
