We've been in business for 24 years and the second generation just took over! Pay will be based on what you have to bring to the team. We offer sales, service and storage. We sell, marine accessories, outboard motors, all types of trailers, and skid steer attachments. We service, boats, pontoons, trailers, fish houses. We store, boats, pontoons, campers, fish houses. We need someone that can service write, order parts and help manage the day-to-day shop activities.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Writer/Parts manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their Marine and Trailer service needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of Marine and Trailer repair processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to upsell services effectively. The Service Writer will work closely with technicians and customers to provide accurate estimates, schedule appointments, and ensure a seamless service experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival at the service department.
- Gather detailed information about vehicle issues and service requests.
- Prepare accurate estimates for repairs and services based on customer needs and technician input.
- Communicate effectively with technicians regarding customer concerns and repair requirements.
- Manage service appointments, ensuring timely completion of work while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Upsell additional services or repairs when appropriate, enhancing the overall customer experience.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service history, and repair orders.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further concerns.
- Stay informed about dealership promotions, new products, and industry trends to better assist customers.
Experience
- Previous experience in a Marine service environment is preferred, particularly in roles involving Outboard engine or boat and pontoon service and storage.
- Familiarity with outboard diagnostics and repair processes is essential.
- Experience in sales or marine service management is a plus, with a proven ability to upsell services effectively.
- Knowledge of trailer components is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to transmit technical information clearly to customers.
