Description
We are looking to hire a vehicle service technician to perform regular state inspection and emissions on vehicles.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform regular maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements, to prevent problems before they occur.
- Regular maintenance helps ensure that vehicles are in good working order and reduces the likelihood of breakdowns or major repairs.
- Use specialized tools and equipment and tools, such as scanners, multimeters, and hydraulic lifts, to diagnose problems and make repairs. They must be skilled in the proper use of these tools to ensure accurate diagnostics and safe repairs.
- Keep detailed records of all repairs and maintenance services performed on vehicles. They use software programs and other record-keeping tools to track repair histories, parts used, and services performed. Document all work performed on the repair order
- Perform safety inspection and emissions.
- Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Replace air filters, cabin air filters, and wiper blades, additional services as outlined by management
- Inspect vehicle fluid levels, replace, or replenish as necessary.
- Check tire pressure and add air if needed.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
- Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Keep shop area neat and clean.

Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean MVR
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background test
- Candidates should at least have a basic understanding of car maintenance -Knowledge of automotive servicing or repair highly desired;
- Candidate should have their state and emissions license.
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance;
- Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles;
- Safety and customer service oriented;
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality;
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed;
- High school diploma or GED preferred;
- One year of relevant experience preferred;
- Enjoy working in a fast paced environment;
- Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record;
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress;
- Basic Computer skills
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
