Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
- Help cooks with cooking tasks and ensure dishes are prepared according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, bussing tables, and disposing of waste.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation are met.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Participate in banquet preparations as needed, ensuring all food items are ready for service.
- Support the culinary team during peak hours to ensure timely service.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in food preparation or cooking is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils is a plus.
