Food Truck Assistant Manager

Wage: $15-$16//hr

Summary: Responsible for the successful execution of fast, accurate sandwiches and world-class customer service while maintaining a clean, organized work space. Also, manage all functions of the food truck when the General Manager is not on duty//site.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Have reliable transportation to Tuscola, IL
• Manage a staff of one to three employees
• Provide on-the-job training for all employees
• Makes fast, accurate and consistent sandwiches
• Responsible for loading, storage, and unloading of all food, equipment, and paper supplies for each event
• Responsible for setting up at each event
• Ensures that every customer receives world class customer service
• Assists General Manager of whatever store is being used with prep, meat and veggie slicing, and bread production
• Completes daily paperwork
• Executes systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness
• Responsible for 100% of the cash drawer at all times during event
• Completes preventative maintenance and upkeep on truck’s equipment and supplies
• Performs other related duties as required
• Maintains professional appearance at all times in compliance with the dress code
• Understands how to troubleshoot issues with a generator
• Is comfortable driving a box truck (Food Truck) to and from events

  Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work Environment:

  Must be able to speak, read and write the English language fluently and clearly. Must have strong math abilities in addition, subtraction, fractions and percentages. Understand use of personal computer of various software such as Excel and Word.

  Required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, lift up to 50 pounds.

  While performing the duties the employee is occasionally exposed to mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

  Special Requirements:

  Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to Tuscola, current automobile insurance, and a clean driving record. Must also possess an up-to-date food sanitation food handler’s certification. Willing to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and nights as business dictates, as well as have the physical stamina to work 30-40 hours per week.
