Food Service Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher/Busser to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a positive experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will include washing dishes, assisting with food handling, and supporting the culinary team as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment to maintain high standards of hygiene.
• Assist in bussing tables by clearing away used dishes and resetting tables for new guests.
• Help with food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors as necessary.
• Support banquet setups by preparing dining areas for special events and ensuring all supplies are stocked.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to promote a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Basic knowledge of food handling practices is an advantage.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
• A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $8.50 - $10.00 per hour
