Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance and lawn care, with the ability to build and maintain irrigation systems effectively. This role requires mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with both power and hand tools. As an Irrigation Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that gardens and landscapes are properly irrigated, contributing to their health and beauty.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for residential and commercial landscapes.
• Assess irrigation needs based on the specific requirements of various plants and garden layouts.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues within existing irrigation systems.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for installation and maintenance tasks.
• Dig trenches for irrigation lines while ensuring minimal disruption to existing landscaping.
• Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions into overall garden care plans.
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and make necessary adjustments.
• Provide recommendations for improvements in irrigation efficiency and water conservation practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or lawn care is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to irrigation systems is essential.
• Ability to build, install, and repair various types of irrigation components effectively.
• Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools safely in a landscaping environment.
• Physical ability to dig, lift, and move materials as required for installation tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• A valid driver’s license may be required depending on job responsibilities.

Job Type: Contract

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Weekends as needed

Supplemental Pay:
