Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experience routine building and grounds maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, motor and bearing lubrication, mechanical maintenance, painting, general construction, & drywall maintenance or repairs.
- Implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Familiar with industrial air compressors systems and compressed air distribution, process water chillers and cooling towers, fire suppression and alarm systems, HVAC systems, pumps, valves, motors, & fans.
- Perform daily visual and physical inspections of the facility and its supporting equipment and contents.
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- The ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, & electric hand truck is a plus. The ability to diagnose and perform routine maintenance for electric hand trucks is a plus.
- Oversee the work from outside contractors and other service providers like plumbers & electricians.
- Assist in facility projects with EH&S & other departments as requested.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Adaptability, positive attitude, and sense of urgency to complete tasks in a professional manner.
- Able to respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocols like lock-out, tag-out (LOTO).
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
- Experienced in operating a variety of tools. The ability to operate machine shop equipment like band saws, drill presses, wire feed welders, belt sanders, & end mills is a plus.
- Able to work well with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures and regulations.
- Occasionally work different or overtime hours if needed to complete a repair or project.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
