PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The General Labor position is a vital part of Jireh Metal’s production team. The goal of the General Labor Team Member is to minimize equipment downtime through safe, and efficient support to our work centers. This position also requires a safety conscious, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, a willingness to improve, and a sense of urgency to help wherever there is a need.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist with loading and unloading raw materials and finished goods.
- Operate basic manufacturing equipment (training provided).
- Perform visual and manual quality inspections on metal components.
- Package, label, and prepare products for shipment.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety rules and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals.
- Use and navigate the Jireh Systems (Plex, Job Web, Smart Pac, etc.) to perform various tasks.
- Startup/shut down of machines and equipment.
- Replenish and organize wash glove cabinets weekly.
- Complete 5s tasks daily and weekly.
- Identify and report troubleshooting issues such as stock alignment, setup issue, quality issues, etc. to Team Leader.
- Accurately interpret work instructions and other instructions required by supervision.
- Work with minimum supervision.
- Follow all company guidelines and policies including the Team Member Handbook, Safety Handbook, Company memos and directions from the shift Team Leader and Manager.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary.
- Perform other company related duties and tasks as assigned.
- Train team members on technical job duties.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1.Manufacturing experience preferred.
2.Self-motivated, safety and quality conscious.
3.High school diploma or GED.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive standing, recurring bending.
- Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Continuous mental and/or visual attention to operate machine(s).
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
LANGUAGE:
- Must read and write in English
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
- The use of safety glasses & hearing protection is required while in any manufacturing area.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Exposure to hazards where failure to exercise extreme care could result in severe injury.
- Working in a safe manufacturing environment
- May be working in noisy, dusty, greasy, or wet environments.
