What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor position at Jireh Semiconductor?
POSITION SUMMARY
The Equipment Maintenance Supervisor (exempt) assists the functional area managers in supporting and supervising the equipment technicians in the wafer fab areas. They can perform troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, gas, fluid systems, robotics, and software while assisting continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts with the team of technicians they oversee. They also supports wafer fab production by meeting and exceeding tool availability and quality objectives directly and through supervisory leadership.
The shift for this position is 12 pm - 12:30 am, Wednesday - Friday, every other Saturday and comes with a 6% shift differential
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees routine preventative maintenance and non-routine corrective maintenance.
- Work with technicians to respond, evaluate, analyze and execute repair plans to down equipment on the wafer fab production line.
- Work with equipment, facilities, production, and process groups to schedule and prioritize PM and non-routine corrective work with minimal impact to fab output and quality goals.
- Support new equipment installations, startup as needed to coordinate manpower and activity scheduling.
- Act as a technical resource for equipment and maintenance system improvement projects.
- Maintain employee certifications current for equipment, safety, and incident response.
- Track and report daily equipment status and activities through verbal and written pass down.
- Set goals for employees, and manage performance to those goals.
- Responsible for employee training and certifications.
- Responsible for employee safety to adhere to protocols, best known methods, and specifications when working in the fab operations overall.
- Maintain employee attendance records, timecards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility including servicing equipment in the clean room. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors. Ability to lift objects of 50 lbs. Ability to obtain respirator certification for use in the facility.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Relevant, technical bachelor's degree electrical, mechanical, computer technology, or equivalent military background or education and experience.
- 8-10 years of maintenance experience on relevant semiconductor equipment
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong technical capability and experience at intermediate/advance level.
- Experience on multiple equipment types as an electrical, mechanical, or process engineer in wafer fab, facilities is a plus:
- Ability and desire to learn and support additional equipment, and functional areas.
- 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
