Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machinery, including Amada Press Brakes, to bend and shape sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Select and install the appropriate tooling for each job.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met and make necessary adjustments as required.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of press brake machines.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times to maintain a safe work environment.
- Work closely with team members to meet production goals and deadlines efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of press brake operation (experience with Amada is preferred but not required.) Knowledge of press brake setups and programming is required.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
- Knowledge of metals and their properties.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
