SUMMARY:
Multi-specialty medical group looking for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for Allergy
The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care, complex care coordination, administrative functions, teaching, and research services. The NP/PA will serve as a member of a comprehensive team of health care professionals to deliver high quality, efficient, and complex care coordination for adult patients being evaluated for and receiving allergen immunotherapy, biologic therapy, drug allergy testing, drug desensitization, transplant immunology screening, and immunoglobulin replacement therapy.
- Will develop expertise in the management of patients with allergy and sleep medicine
- Demonstrates a fundamental grounding in nursing/medical practice with mastery of knowledge within a defined content area.
- Manages a caseload of patients in partnership with the healthcare team to optimize health status and coordinate care over time and across healthcare settings.
EDUCATION:
Nurse Practitioner
- Masters of Science Degree, Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Specialty certification required.
- Baccalaureate in Nursing
- Current CA licensure
Physician Assistant
- Masters of Science Degree, Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant Program Certification
- Current CA licensure
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED):
- Outpatient practice experience
- Experience with Allergy and Internal Medicine
- Must obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer).
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record EPIC
