Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for providing excellent service while efficiently handling transactions. Your role will involve operating the cash register, assisting customers with their purchases, and contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Duties

• Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
• Upsell products and promotions to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Stock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure a well-organized store environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the store.
• Assist in training new cashiers and supervise their performance as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and surrounding spaces.
• Utilize POS systems effectively for transaction processing.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
• Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
