The S.O.A.R. summer program is seeking experienced and energetic paraeducators to carry out programs designed by the teaching staff, manage behavior, support theme-based enrichment activities and field trips throughout the 5-week summer program.
Please make sure you provide clear evidence of the following criteria in your application.
- High school diploma plus at least 2 years of additional education
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in education or related field
- Ability to commit to work all 5 program weeks, July 5th - August 3rd
- Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols and PBIS
- Training and experience with English Language Learners
- Evidence of strong connection with students and families
- Understanding of summer learning and previous experience in a summer learning program.
Dates and Position Hours:
In-Service Date: (TBD), 1 day
Program Dates: June 30th - July 31st, M-Th, 5 weeks. No program July 4th
Hours: 32 hours/week, daily schedule 8:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday.
