Job Summary:
Senior SAP Scheduler/Planner is responsible for the planning and scheduling of calibration and maintenance activities to ensure on-time, compliant results. A proactive self-starter and collaborative team player, contributing to a high-performing and diverse work environment. Demonstrates strong attention to detail while effectively navigating a fast-paced, dynamic setting. Possesses in-depth knowledge of scheduling and planning within a GxP-regulated environment. Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage complex production schedules and maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and scheduling of calibration and maintenance activities in collaboration with management, technicians, and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with production schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve calibration and maintenance schedules within the SAP PM module.
- Proficiently utilize SAP to convert notifications into work orders, assign tasks to appropriate personnel, and ensure timely execution.
- Prioritize and sequence work orders based on equipment criticality, regulatory compliance requirements, and available resources.
- Partner cross-functionally with Metrology, Facilities, Engineering, Automation, Validation, and internal customers—as well as external vendors—to ensure the on-time and compliant completion of scheduled activities.
- Leverage SAP reporting and analysis tools to track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Proactively monitor schedule adherence, communicate routine updates to stakeholders, and facilitate the timely resolution of delays or conflicts, escalating issues when necessary to maintain operational continuity.
- Collaborate with area management to plan activities and resource allocation associated with scheduled plant outages and shutdown activities.
- Manage external vendors, including scheduling, performance tracking, documentation, and ensuring adherence to service agreements and safety protocols.
- Coordinate onsite service provider visits with equipment owners and arrange necessary vendor escorts in collaboration with the appropriate subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Participate in investigation of scheduling/planning related problems, perform root cause analysis efforts, and drive resolution.
- Support audits and reporting by maintaining accurate records and documentation of calibration and maintenance activities.
- Interact effectively with peers, technicians, internal customers, and management to achieve optimal outcomes. Communicate technical information to non-technical individuals regarding potential problems and work to resolve conflicts.
- Participate in required site and on-the-job training.
- Perform work safely and in compliance with site requirements.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- 5 years of scheduling/planning experience.
- 1 years of pharmaceutical or GMP industry planning and scheduling.
- Experience within a spare parts program.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment, facilities, calibrations, and maintenance is required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products.
- SAP experience required. CMX experience preferred.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
