Position Summary
- The IT Support Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing network devices, software, infrastructure, and peripherals. This role provides technical support across plant operations and assists end users with a variety of endpoint and device-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure new PCs, laptops, printers, and other endpoint devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance across all endpoint devices—onsite and offsite—including patching and configuration updates for security compliance.
- Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, peripherals, cables, and other technical equipment.
- Oversee printer systems: manage firmware, maintenance schedules, supplies, and asset tracking.
- Assist with deployment and maintenance of mobile technologies (RF handhelds, technician iPads, Android/Apple devices).
General Duties
- Support installation and configuration of endpoint and peripheral devices across all plant locations.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, productivity tools, management agents, and security software.
- Troubleshoot and repair technical issues to restore device functionality.
- Provide on-site support and technical assistance to users, maintaining professionalism and discretion.
- Educate users on best practices and proper use of hardware/software.
- Recommend and implement improvements to existing systems and processes.
- Assist with installation/removal of networking, phone, video, and alert systems, including running associated cabling.
- Enforce software usage policies to ensure compliance and security standards.
- Collaborate with other departments on projects and problem resolution.
- Communicate clearly with IS team and affected users about the status of technical issues.
- Coordinate with vendors for external repairs, quotes, and equipment procurement.
- Maintain detailed documentation and asset tracking for all endpoint devices.
- Manage equipment recycling and maintain cleanliness of IS offices.
- Participate in special projects or tasks as assigned.

- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (e.g., printers, TVs)
- Ability to operate man lifts/boom lifts in elevated areas (occasionally)

- Background in Microsoft-focused business environments

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
