We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources and Administration to play a pivotal role in this transformation. This leader will oversee both HR and business operations, ensuring the company attracts, develops, and retains top talent while driving policies and strategies that enhance efficiency and workplace culture.

Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Provides Human Resources support to employees, managers, and executives that support the needs of the business, including coaching leaders to facilitate organizational change, understanding and applying knowledge of all HR functions, as well as the application of HR principles and employment law.
- Investigates and analyzes employee requests, concerns, and complaints, and suggests recommendations to solve issues, including any potential legal claim made through state/local agencies, while working with outside support agencies as appropriate.
- Responsible for content and interpretation, deployment/communication, and administration of Human Resources processes.
- Responsible for payroll, including managing the relationship with the payroll vendor, managing requests and problems with employees, and coordinating with finance on weekly payroll submission.
- Supports business on compensation matters, including key employee retention programs, off-cycle salary increases, and other compensation initiatives.
- Ensures effective workforce planning and talent acquisition efforts to support growth. This includes developing programs to identify, assess, recruit, develop, onboard, and retain key talent at all levels while managing all external recruiting firms for regular or contract employment.
- Oversees diversity initiatives, which include identifying diversity partners, vendors, and employment initiatives.
- Promotes awareness of the company through ongoing communication efforts and branding initiatives, using social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and the Website.
- Responsible for the administration of the company drug programs, including DOT and Non-DOT random testing, including maintenance of all drug testing records for the Commercial Driver (CDL).
- Monitors legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the business. These include OSHA, EEO, ERISA, Wage and Hour issues, etc.
- Creates and maintains an HR budget.
- Responsible for administrative duties related to Safety compliance.
- Responsible for creating/curating, and maintaining training programs for all levels
- Manage all HR operational aspects of the company, including all HR Compliance, Legal, and Regulatory initiatives, working with outside consultants when necessary.
Administration
- Strategy initiatives: Identify, triage, and drive the strategic thinking on key questions, issues, and roadblocks facing the company.
- Oversight of outside vendor procurement initiatives: Identify and create robust and rigorous processes and guidelines for client and vendor engagements.
- Oversees IT support to engage external resources as necessary.
- Design processes to drive continuous improvement: ensure we have visibility into what new tools, products, and initiatives are being deployed to improve processes.
- Liaison for real estate/office maintenance operations.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience in payroll administration and working with payroll vendors.
- Experience with compensation strategies, workforce planning, and talent acquisition.
- Proven experience leading cultural transformation initiatives, such as employee engagement or organizational development projects.
- Experience executing full-cycle recruitment strategies, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Familiarity with HR compliance, employment law, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EEO, ERISA, Wage and Hour laws, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address HR and business challenges.
- Ability to work with external vendors, legal counsel, and government agencies on HR compliance matters
Salary Range
- $85K-$95K
