Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled temporary Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients while assisting the orthodontist during procedures that happen on a monthly basis. A small thing to keep in mind is if there is any knowledge in Aligner design or production a part-time job could be offered to produce our Aligner System. This position requires a strong understanding of orthodontic practices and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during various procedures, ensuring that all instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation for patient records, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Take and record vital signs as necessary, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures.
- Support pediatric dentistry practices by providing compassionate care to younger patients.
- Assist with medical coding for insurance purposes, ensuring proper billing processes.
- Operate and maintain 3D scanners for precise imaging and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experiences.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar dental assisting role is preferred.
- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, showcasing an ability to work with children effectively.
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and the importance of maintaining a sterile environment.
- Knowledge of medical coding practices, particularly related to orthodontics, is advantageous.
- Experience using Epic or similar dental software systems is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team are essential.

Pay: $29.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
