Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable EEG and TMS Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in conducting electroencephalograms (EEGs) to monitor and assess brain activity and treating neuropsychiatric disorders. This position requires a strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.

Duties

  • Perform EEG tests on patients, ensuring proper electrode placement and patient comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations to interpret brain wave patterns and identify abnormalities.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to discuss findings and assist in developing patient care plans.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs during testing and respond appropriately to any changes in condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of EEG procedures and results, ensuring compliance with medical standards and protocols.
  • Stay updated on advancements in EEG technology and techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding the EEG process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Experiences of TMS machine is a plus

Experience
Candidates should possess:

  • A solid foundation in physiology knowledge, with an emphasis on brain function and neurological health.
  • Experience in diagnostic evaluation techniques related to EEGs or similar medical procedures.
  • Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols, particularly in trauma settings.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to the nervous system.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
  • Previous experience working within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $31.00 - $37.00 per hour
