Job Summary
We are seeking a Call Center Representative with strong customer service skills and pharmacy-related call center experience. This remote role involves handling inbound and outbound calls, assisting patients with prescription inquiries, and ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times. Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound and outbound calls to assist patients with pharmacy-related inquiries.
- Provide accurate information regarding prescriptions, medication refills, insurance, and pharmacy services.
- Assist customers with placing orders, processing prescription refills, and coordinating medication deliveries.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality in all interactions.
- Research and resolve customer complaints, billing issues, and insurance verification.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate patient records in pharmacy systems.
- Utilize proper phone etiquette and active listening skills to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, and healthcare providers to ensure efficient service.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a call center, pharmacy customer service, or healthcare-related role.
- Must be available to attend onsite training for one week before transitioning to remote work.
- Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, prescription processing, and insurance verification preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), pharmacy management software, or CRM systems.
- Ability to handle high call volumes while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be comfortable working with sensitive patient information and following HIPAA guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in healthcare or pharmacy-related fields is a plus.
