A premier technology team is seeking a hands-on Sr. Java Lead / Architect who brings strong Ruby on Rails expertise and has experience building AI-first product experiences. This role involves high-impact design, development, and leadership across cutting-edge enterprise-level applications.
Responsibilities:
Lead and contribute 70-85% hands-on development.
Perform code reviews and produce high-quality technical documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and DevOps.
Drive innovation through AI-first and generative AI-first product features.
Develop and maintain DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation pipelines.
Analyze business inputs to deliver scalable software services.
Identify and manage technical dependencies.
Required Qualifications:
7 years in large-scale SaaS product development.
Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Ruby on Rails.
Knowledge of Kafka, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS or Heroku.
Skilled in writing unit, integration, and E2E tests (JUnit 4/5, RSpec, etc.).
Experience working with Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
Familiar with monitoring/debugging tools such as Splunk, Wavefront.
Background in building or supporting AI-integrated applications is a strong advantage.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Hands-on exposure to CI/CD workflows and GitHub Actions.
Prior experience in highly regulated or data-heavy environments is a plus.
