Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager – Multi-Family & Commercial Construction
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager with 3-5 years of relevant construction experience to oversee multi-family and commercial carpentry/finishes projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role requires strong leadership, effective time management, and a solid understanding of construction processes, particularly in commercial and production carpentry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee multiple limited scope construction projects, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate with architects, developers, general contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Utilize construction management software to track progress, maintain documentation, and support project planning.
- Prepare and review contracts and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address challenges, and uphold quality and safety standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in accordance with industry regulations.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders to align expectations and objectives.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction project management.
- Experience in multi-family and/or commercial construction management.
- Proficiency in commonly used construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, etc.).
- Strong understanding of project management principles and construction processes.
- Experience with contract negotiation and management is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
- Hands-on experience in commercial carpentry and/or framing is a plus but not required.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly desirable, but not required.
