Summary of Position: JL Family Services Ltd is currently seeking a Clinical Staff Therapist to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in navigating and resolving life challenges. As a Clinical Staff Therapist, you will evaluate clients' mental health, develop tailored treatment plans, and facilitate referrals as needed. Success in this role hinges on strong autonomy, sound decision-making, and effective communication. Ideal candidates will demonstrate organization, expertise, reliability, and proficiency in interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' mental health issues, employing interviews, psychological assessments, and observations.
- Create individualized treatment blueprints tailored to clients' specific needs, diagnoses, and aspirations.
- Collaborate closely with clients to establish therapeutic goals and evidence-based interventions.
- Maintain meticulous and current client records, documenting assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and other necessary information in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Work in tandem with healthcare peers to orchestrate holistic care plans for clients, facilitating referrals to specialized services as needed to ensure access to appropriate resources.
- Deliver psychoeducational support to clients and their families, empowering them with insights into mental health conditions, coping mechanisms, and available support networks.
- Uphold professional codes of conduct and adhere to state regulations governing mental health practice, safeguarding client privacy and respecting professional boundaries.
- Foster a culture of positivity and collaboration through ongoing engagement with fellow clinicians and support personnel.
- Fulfill any additional duties or obligations as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or another related field; LPC, LSW, LCPC or LCSW preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations and a range of mental health disorders.
- Must be able to create a flexible schedule including some evenings and some Saturday’s.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a phone, read, write, speak, and listen; utilize a computer for creating data, typing, sending and receiving electronic communications. This position requires sitting for long periods of time, constant walking and the use of hands and feet, reach with hands and arms may be required to lift up to 15 pounds with or without assistance.
