What are the responsibilities and job description for the Army Company Grade SME position at JLAN Solutions?
JLAN Solutions is seeking a Company Grade Subject Matter Expert (O1 – O3) to support career advancement, retention, and recruitment within the Army. This person will help develop training, programs, best practices, and processes for Career Pathing and Retention.
If you come from a background in Cyber, Aviation, Health Services, Logistics, and JAG and are interested in influencing decisions to maintain optimum levels of recruitment and retention within the Army, this is for you! You’ll have the opportunity to guide career progression in these career fields, encourage people to ultimately stay in the Army, and help with obtaining related civilian positions.
Additional Information:
- This opportunity is a primarily remote opportunity, however, does require the incumbent to travel up to 5 – 10%. Most of the work is remote and would only require onsite work during visits to bases.
- This is a 3-year-contract.
- Each incumbent will be working an average of 40 hours per month depending on project phase.
Qualifications:
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary behavioral science-staffed project teams to interpret survey findings
- Advise the project team on professional development, career paths, and retention strategies and initiatives and how they potentially impact career progression and retention
- Support and contribute to practical recommendations based on survey findings and interview results
- Review and make recommendations to survey and interview items
Requirements:
- Experience with and knowledge of officer career path, talent management, and professional development
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of technically skilled (behavioral scientist) project team members
- Service in the Army as an O1 – O3 with an honorable discharge separate date of 2017 or later
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Organizational Psychology, Psychology, or related
- Experience with Human Resources Command (HRC), Army Recruiting and/or Recruiting/Accessions Command, and/or solid career progression experience and breadth of knowledge across first and second term enlistments
