Summary/Objective
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Cabinet and Granite Shop Manager to oversee daily operations at our cabinetry and granite fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of production, inventory, customer service, and team leadership. This position requires a strong understanding of both cabinet making and granite fabrication processes, as well as the ability to ensure smooth operations, high-quality craftsmanship, and excellent customer satisfaction. This position will work very closely with our project managers (PMs), assistant project managers (APMs), superintendents, and assistant superintendents. This position will report to Executive Leadership and is considered a key component of company operations.
Essential Functions

1) Operations Management
§ Oversee the daily operations of the shop, ensuring production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
§ Supervise and coordinate all activities in the cabinet and granite fabrication processes, including cutting, assembly, and installation.
§ Manage shop workflow to ensure efficient use of time, labor, and resources.
§ Monitor inventory levels of materials, tools, and equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain stock.
2) Team Leadership and Development
§ Lead, train, and motivate a team of makers, fabricators, and installers.
§ Assign tasks and ensure proper allocation of resources to optimize production.
§ Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and developing team members to ensure high levels of performance and professionalism.
§ Ensure adherence to safety protocols and work standards.
- Recognize and play to the strengths of each individual on the team.
3.) Quality Control
§ Inspect and evaluate finished products for quality and consistency, ensuring they meet customer specifications and industry standards.
§ Troubleshoot any issues related to fabrication, installation, or design and provide solutions to prevent recurrence.
3) Customer Service and Sales Support:
§ Maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or service issues in a timely manner.
§ Collaborate with the preconstruction and project management team to ensure customer requirements are communicated accurately and met during production.
§ Assist customers with design options, material selection, and product recommendations when needed.
4) Document control:
§ Maintaining comprehensive project documentation including drawings, permits, change orders, RFIs, and progress reports.
5) Purchase order management:
§ Reviewing and processing change orders, coordinating necessary approvals, and updating project budgets accordingly.
6) Risk assessment and mitigation:
§ Identifying potential project risks and developing strategies to minimize their impact.
7) Reporting and communication:
§ Providing regular project updates to clients and stakeholders through progress reports, meetings, and presentations
8) Financial Management
§ Assist in budgeting and cost control for shop operations.
§ Monitor expenses and work to minimize waste and inefficiencies without compromising quality.
§ Ensure that invoices, payment collections, and billing related to the shop’s projects are handled accurately.
Competencies
§ Proven experience in cabinet making, granite fabrication, or a related industry (minimum 3-5 years.)
§ Strong leadership skills with previous managerial or supervisory experience in a shop or production environment.
§ Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
§ Knowledge of cabinet and granite fabrication techniques, tools, and materials.
§ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications.
§ Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
§ Basic financial understanding and ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
§ Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the workplace.
§ Proficiency in using computer software for inventory management, scheduling, and general shop operations (experience with design software a plus).
§ High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in cabinet making, stone fabrication, or management preferred.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
