As a Facilities Data Center Manager at JLL, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and optimization of our data center facilities. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and security of our data center infrastructure.
Your day-to-day tasks will include –
- Monitoring and managing data center operations, including power, cooling, and network systems
- Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for all data center equipment
- Coordinating with IT teams to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and expansions
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
- Managing vendor relationships and contracts for equipment and services
- Analyzing data center performance metrics and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency
- Developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Supervising and mentoring facilities team members
- Participating in capacity planning and budgeting processes for data center operations
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in data center operations and management
- In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and network architecture
- Knowledge of Work Order Management Systems, Corrigo knowledge preferred
- Strong understanding of energy efficiency practices and sustainability initiatives in data centers
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Professional certifications such as CDCP, DCPRO, or CDCS
- Experience with DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools
- Knowledge of cloud computing and hybrid infrastructure environments
- Six Sigma or ITIL certification
- Experience with project management methodologies
- Familiarity with IoT and smart building technologies and BMS system
Salary : $112,000 - $140,000
