What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Clerk position at JLL?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient material handling, movement, and storage within our facility, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company procedures.
Work Schedule:
Requirements to be onsite, Monday - Friday, from 7:30AM - 4:00PM.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Receive, unpack, and check incoming materials, samples, and supplies for appropriate labelling and documentation.
Store materials in designated areas following proper procedures and guidelines.
Retrieve and prepare materials for production as requested.
Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
Accurately document the chain of custody for all materials, including date, time, and personnel involved. Ensure materials are stored in appropriate designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and segregation.
Manage compressed gas cylinders including exchange of empty cylinders, inspection of cylinders for damage and leaks, and safely storing cylinders in designated areas.
Escort vendors to lab areas as required.
Conduct safety inspections of safety showers, eyewash, etc. and identify and report potential hazards.
Pickup hazardous waste from laboratories and transport to central staging area.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular cycle counts.
Participate in training sessions to stay updated on procedures and regulations.
Work overtime or temporarily adjust shift schedule as needed.
Any additional responsibilities as needed.
Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
2 to 5 years of experience in a warehouse or laboratory setting preferred.
Required Skills and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to use inventory management systems (IMS) effectively.
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to learn and follow strict procedures and regulations.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
