What this job involves: JLL, we're looking for a dedicated Mailroom & Delivery Dock Worker to join our team and help shape a brighter way for our clients and fellow employees. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing mail and packages. You'll perform routine material handling duties, manage mail, and process shipments. Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll need excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. As part of our culture of collaboration, you'll interact with various departments and external partners, contributing to the seamless flow of information and materials throughout our organization. This position requires working with minimal supervision in a team-based environment while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations, SOPs, and work instructions.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate departments or individuals.
Process outgoing mail, including weighing, metering, and preparing items for shipment.
Operate and maintain mailroom equipment such as postage meters and package scanners.
Manage inventory of mailroom supplies and reorder as necessary.
Coordinate with courier services for special deliveries and pickups.
Maintain accurate records of all mail and package transactions.
Ensure compliance with company policies and postal regulations.
Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
Previous experience in a mailroom or shipping/receiving environment.
Familiarity with postal regulations and shipping procedures.
Knowledge of inventory management practices.
Experience with package tracking software.
Customer service experience.
Required Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, email)
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements: Must be able to adequately perform required job functions. This includes being able to lift, bend, and move in such a way as to perform job tasks in a safe and approved manner.
Environmental Conditions: Environmental conditions will vary based on the job being performed. Could include working outside in winter and summer conditions.
