What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at JLL?
Job Summary:
Includes but not limited to:
Perform repairs, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of a building's infrastructure.
Assist Critical Facilities Operating Engineers as a co-pilot in completing building operations, maintenance and repairs.
Assist in writing procedures including EOPs, SOPs, and MOPs
Position will require travel to two buildings - Kings Mountain, NC and Charlotte, NC.
Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to:
Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Desired: Technical training or degree.
Required basic understand of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Ability to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads.
Ability to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc. and on roofs.
Required basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
Ability to prepare written documentation is required.
Ability to repair locks, locking mechanism, closers doors, controllers.
Ability to service and maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, building alarm contacts, and other building systems.
Ability to maintain and repair single phase electrical beakers, switches, receptacles, junction boxes, conduit, lights, and ballast.
Ability to maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, water fountains, sinks drains, water heaters, piping and sump pumps.
Ability to provide all other building maintenance, repair, and restorative procedures as directed.
Ability to prepare, prime and paint building interior and exterior surfaces.
Assist Mission Critical Technicians as a co-pilot in completing building operations, maintenance and repairs.
On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
Please note this is a site-based role and the client requires vaccinations for on-site attendance, if you are offered the role- you will be expected to comply.
Physical Work Requirements/Conditions:
Lifting up to 60 lbs.
Working from heights.
Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot).
Driving for long periods of time.
Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet.
Being able to sit and type for longer periods of time.
