We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Woodland CA! This position supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities including equipment in Greenhouses. Hours for this position are on 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 2:30PM-11PM
Job Responsibilities
Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directed
Replace lighting and ballasts
Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts.
Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary
Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduled
Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
Update work order status in real time using our CMMS system
Escalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner
Attend work and safety meetings as required
Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Have a minimum of 3- 5 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, HVAC systems, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
Mechanical troubleshooting skills
Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads and operate a motor vehicle
Strong customer service skills
Ability to read and write reports clearly and thoroughly
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
Frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead required
Must be able to climb a 30-foot ladder.
Ability to read and understand a one line/ladder diagram
Must be a Team Player
Reliable
Maintains a clean a safe workplace
Green House maintenance experience a plus but not required
EPA Universal certification a plus but not required
Must be a safety minded person
Able to work on roofs of buildings-able to safely perform overhead work while standing on a ladder
Ability to work well in a team or independently
Ability to detect emergency alarms-auditory and/or visual
