Role Description

This is a full-time position for a Safety Specialist at JLN Safety (JLN Associates, LLC). The Safety Specialist will be responsible for providing safety support, conducting rescue operations, and delivering safety training. This role is based in Old Lyme, CT but will require traveling to job sites for safety oversight responsibilities during projects.

What You’ll Do :

  • Conduct thorough audits and assessments at various client locations as part of large-scale compliance projects.
  • Deliver engaging and informative safety training in our state-of-the-art Training Center or directly at client sites.
  • Collaborate closely with our Industrial Safety Specialists and clients, providing essential data and assessment feedback.
  • Offer on-site health and safety compliance support, ensuring top-tier safety performance for our clients.
  • Develop and fine-tune client health and safety programs, and deliver customized training that ensures their teams are always prepared.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and vendors, building strong professional relationships that will advance your career.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Educational Background :  A Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Health & Safety Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field is preferred—but equivalent experience and training will be considered.
  • Certifications :  Having an OSHA Outreach Training Certification in Construction or General Industry is a plus.
  • Experience Levels :  From recent graduates to professionals with several years of safety compliance experience, all are welcome to apply!
  • Industry Knowledge :  Experience with OSHA / EM385 / MSHA / NFPA regulations, and corporate management standards will be highly valued.
  • Tech Savvy :  You should be comfortable with MS Office and Google programs, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Forms.
  • Communication :  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, including experience in presentations and technical writing.
  • Adaptability :  You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and are willing to travel to client sites (30-50% of the time).
