What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter Journeyman position at JLS Remodeling Services?
The Journeyman carpenter is responsible for working with project managers, carpenter helpers, designers, and customers on performing construction duties, analyzing schematics and blueprints, following clients' specifications, completing the project within the agreed timeframe, and maintaining materials with the budget goals, ensuring the highest quality and client's satisfaction. The Journeyman carpenter will regularly inspect the project, perform adjustments as needed, repair defects and inconsistencies, and adhere to the safety standards and protocols during operations. The lead carpenter must have excellent knowledge of the carpentry industry, especially kitchens and baths, to handle clients' demands and efficiently create the finished product. Lead carpenter will be paired with a helper.
The Journeyman carpenter is expected to efficiently and effectively run a jobsite when given a scope of work for the intended project with little to no supervision. This position would require the journeyman carpenter to source all materials, delegate work tasks to laborers, coordinate with client on selections and design, and keep an organized/detailed log.

- Drywall - Hanging, taping, and texturing
- Trim and Molding and Painting
- Tile and LVP
Additional requirements: Great work ethic, positive attitude, friendly demeanor, team player, and cooperative spirit. Must have the desire to produce quality results for distinguished clients.
You must have working knowledge or understand code requirements, job site issues or problems, and possess good communication skills. You must have your own tools and reliable transportation.
Pay is commensurate with the skill level.
