What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Foreman position at JM Davidson, Inc?
JMD is looking for a competent Civil Construction Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers on the job site.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and direct people, equipment and resources
- All aspects of Carpentry, rebar and concrete work
- Ensure sufficient deployment and productivity of work crews.
- Engage in open communication with the Superintendent and Project Managers, and report any issues which could affect the scope of work and project plan.
- Work as a team member and leader to carry out job preparation
- Organize and coordinate the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, equipment to keep the project on time and on budget.
- Ensure materials are laid to contract specifications.
- Identify and execute best practices concerning the efficient use of construction materials.
- Plan work in an efficient and effective order, maximizing progress in a safe and timely manner.
- Review and adhere to construction schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are met.
- Ensure company equipment is lawfully operated, cared for, maintained and used effectively.
- Read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Simon form knowledge a plus.
- Must have Valid DL with clean driving record
- Must have TWIC
- There is no per-diem for this job.
Candidate will be required to pass a drug screen and preemployment physical. Background check is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
