Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining various types of pipes and pipe systems. Your expertise in stick welding, blueprint reading, and adherence to codes and standards will be essential in ensuring the quality and functionality of our pipe installations.
Duties:
- Install and assemble pipes and pipe systems according to blueprints, specifications, and codes
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools or power tools
- Weld pipes using stick welding techniques
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine pipe layouts and configurations
- Inspect and test installed pipe systems for leaks or other issues
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient project completion
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or similar role
- Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to pipefitting
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers for precise pipe measurements
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting or prolonged periods of standing or kneeling
