What You'll Accomplish in Your First Year:
- Complete Apprenticeship Levels 1 and 2.
- Obtain OSHA 10-Hour certification.
- Master the basics of pipefitting.
- Learn to read and interpret installation drawings.
- Develop a strong understanding of NFPA 13 and code compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Install and service a variety of fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge) in commercial and residential settings.
- Install and maintain fire pumps, standpipes, and hose systems.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install piping, valves, and other fire protection equipment.
- Inspect and test installed systems to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair fire sprinkler systems.
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- RME-I/RME-G preferred.
