Position Summary
Coordinates day-to-day administrative activities associated with the EH&S required to support EH&S responsibilities. Will be responsible for routine inspections and audits related to EH&S, documentation of procedures / policies or other administrative documentation required.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in completing necessary documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations. In addition, you will be responsible for learning the knowledge of the basics of the regulations and laws effecting assigned work areas and working to help ensure that all regulations and laws are followed. Responsible for bringing all EH&S incidents or concerns to management for resolution.
- Work with EHS & S Manager to evaluate equipment operation and work with appropriate personnel to define necessary changes, improvements, repairs (ie : Equipment Dusting)
- Work with EHS & S Manager to assist with monitoring air and water discharges from site to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Work with EHS & S Manager to assist with maintenance of emissions and chemical inventory.
- Work with EHS & S Manager to assist with keeping MSDS books current and in appropriate locations.
- Work with EHS & S Manager to assist in managing the effective utilization and disposal of all solid wastes.
- Work with EHS & S Manager to assists with inspecting and monitoring maintenance of pollution control equipment (dust collectors, etc.) for optimal operating efficiency, and support documentation and record keeping associates with these activities to the degree as necessitated by regulation and / or corporate / division policy.
- Assists with or personally develops procedures related to LSR processes, Environmental and Safety related MMSRs.
- Understand and work with EHS &S Manager to implement / continue progress in Huber’s Environmental Management Systems (MMSR’s) for both Environmental and Safety related issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned by EHS&S Mgr.
- Support / Build a Safety Conscience Culture
- Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
- Be able to perform as a productive member of the EHS team and demonstrate leadership potential.
- Assist with Safety Meetings and basic training classes as necessary.
- Work with EHS Manager / Site Buyer to maintain safety equipment inventory
- Document history for trends and recommended improvements related to EH&S issues.
- Identify problems with equipment and properly communicate them to appropriate personnel.
- Through inspections and audits, help ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained throughout the Plant and Mine areas
- Working knowledge of software applications (MS Office, Excel, MSWord, etc.)
