Position Summary
This position keeps process equipment running and producing efficiently while at the same time creating a product to meet specifications. The main role of this position is to oversee the process part of the plant.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate all systems to include all associated equipment and controls.
- Identify, troubleshoot and correct problems with the mill systems.
- Collect and prepare samples for the QC lab, if needed.
- Perform QC duties such as brightness, residue, moisture, viscosity, iron and other basic tests.
- Blow out equipment filters and lubricate, as needed.
- Operate front-end loader, Gleason shredders, conveying systems and dust collectors.
- Maintain silo levels to allow for continuous operations of all loading areas.
- Know and maintain product specifications.
- Operate forklift, as needed.
- Perform housekeeping around work area.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment at the beginning of each shift.
- Oversee process plant employees.
- Adhere to all QMS procedures and documentation as applicable to position and department, and as required by ISO.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- High School graduate or GED.
- Effective communication, both written and verbal.
- Strong moral and ethical standards.
- Must be able to work individually and in a team atmosphere.
- Must be able to operate forklift, requires good eye-hand coordination and smooth, simultaneous hand and foot control.
- General working knowledge of MSHA Safety requirements.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a production environment. Position requires lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 55 lbs. on a regular basis. Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop and climb up to 70 feet. Able to operate hand and foot controls simultaneously. Manual dexterity required for operation of hand controls and/or computer keyboard. Vision and a sense of hearing are also required.

[$17.39 - $21.80]
In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
